Diamond could possibly be sifted in rivers with a type of bowl. When mining ore, you receive these pebbles and rocks, as well as a random amount of pieces of coal, rough iron ore, gold pieces, small and large diamonds, etc. When mining, you acquire x-x amount of pebbles and rocks. (that tool being a stone tool.) The size of the material used to craft the tool also affects the tool's durability, such as the size of diamond being small or large. Unsharpened rocks also give the tool less durability. Normal sticks give the tool less durability. When making tools, you can use sharpened or normal sticks. 9 pebbles can be placed in a 3x3 pattern to create cobblestone. 4 rocks can be placed in a 2x2 pattern to make cobblestone. When a rock is thrown into water a number of times, it becomes a smooth stone, used for sharpening tools, rocks, and sticks. Rocks and pebbles can both be thrown and placed. Rocks and pebbles could generate near stone or in riverbeds. The next most important thing is rock and pebble generation. When would is cut down, you still get wood, but you would have to refine it with possibly a type of Axe, because a smooth stone isn't sharp enough. Certain trees could also generate in rainforest biomes. (This idea partly comes from Nandonalt's MoreTrees mod, but i think many people have suggested this.) Speaking of MoreTrees, it surprises me that Notch hasn't added any kind of palm tree, as he made pine trees for taiga biomes. Trees could also bear fruit, such as their might be certain types of trees that generate. Two sticks could be crafted together to make a fire starter. Instead, you would destroy leaves first, and possible drops could be a certain amount of leaves, sticks, and twigs. So, as you start out normally in Minecraft, most likely the first thing you do is punch trees. A few of the ideas may be taken from mods or suggestions I've seen throughout the forums. This is basically a large revamp of Minecraft, making the game a heap more realistic than it is. As well, i might go through these ideas in a relatively random order. You may hate this idea, you may love it, still i'd like to see what people think. (Edit: Looks like i'm a carpenter now, xD) This is an extremely large request, and, although i could probably attempt to learn how to mod, and make this idea myself, I doubt it would be nearly as impressive or well-recognized as if a much more skilled or notorious modder created this idea. But please, for once, heed this measly tree puncher's words. So many ideas and requests pass through the forum daily, and it gets old seeing stupid or lame suggestions crowding up the section. I know, you probably look at topics daily, and you either role your eyes or sigh.
